Bang-up pressing, the Images are very low quality compared to the 1979 original which look similar they were inked in the jacket. You can tell they were scanned and scaled improperly. The forepart of the jacket is completely pixelated. Otherwise, on par with other remasters
Lacking in treble, and sounds apartment. I wouldn't have expected this from a Bernie Grundman remastering. Was purchased new.
i had a pressing of this record about a yr or so ago. when i attempted to accept the front sticker off, it tore the sleeve. that already soured my impressions, but regardless i gave it a spin and my ears were severely unimpressed. information technology sounded flat with picayune to no soundstage. i ended upwardly trading it in for something else, but just recently i decided to bite the bullet and buy a second copy. this time the front sticker came off without a hitch, and when i spun both discs, it was a night and day difference. i was absolutely blown away. all in all, it seems i just had a flake of bad luck with my first copy. (notation, i don't like how the inner cardboard sleeves jut out from the side of the outer ever so slightly, if this bugs y'all just as much as it does me, turn them sideways with the opening facing inwards. might be a tight clasp simply they fit simply fine once broken in)
Heard this anthology critically for the first fourth dimension today, and oh infant is the soundstage on this pressing fantastic. Dandy instrument separation. I wish at that place was a flake more clarity on some parts here and in that location but otherwise recommend this pressing!
Heard this album critically for the first time today, and oh baby is the soundstage on this pressing fantastic. Great musical instrument separation. I wish at that place was a bit more than clarity on some parts here and in that location just otherwise recommend this pressing!
Question. Does anyone know the differences between this pressing and the other 2016 pressing with red lettering on the cover? The latter mentioned is much more expensive only has cypher reviews. Thanks!
This pressing sounds great, considering information technology's Digitally remastered. Which should Never be done to Whatsoever analog recording! Period! Unless the original recording is digital which it evidently wasn't. Which is why I give this 4 stars rather than 5. Having said that, this pressing is dead quiet, flat and with on-heart spindle holes and no warps, thank you very much! Great quality control. The packaging is gorgeous, as well. I have never heard an og pressing of this record. I've merely heard the album on cassette and cd. And then I cannot comment on the comparison between this and earlier pressings. I am quite certain that Whatever 70's-80's press would sound far amend. The just complaint I take is that Volume-wise, this is the quietest tape in my collection. I have to crank my volume quite a bit to get a adept strong sound. This is most likely due to it being digitally remastered. Once again, and so stupid and lazy. Defeats the Whole purpose of vinyl. But other than that, I'm very happy to have this in my collection, since good condition early pressings are Way too expensive
Pink Floyd - The Wall
————————————
Pinkish Floyd were an English stone ring formed in London in 1964. Gaining an early post-obit every bit i of the first British psychedelic groups, they were distinguished for their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows. They became a leading band of the progressive rock genre, cited by some as the greatest progressive rock band of all fourth dimension.
————————————
The Wall is the eleventh studio anthology by the English language rock band Pink Floyd, released on xxx November 1979 by Harvest and Columbia Records. Information technology is a rock opera that explores Pink, a jaded rock star whose eventual self-imposed isolation from society forms a figurative wall. The anthology was a commercial success, topping the US charts for 15 weeks and reaching number three in the United kingdom. It initially received mixed reviews from critics, many of whom institute it overblown and pretentious, but afterwards received accolades as one of the greatest albums of all time and ane of the band's finest works.

I think that Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' is an astonishing album for numerous reasons and I could go on all 24-hour interval almost how it, in my opinion, contains the best musicianship of any ring ever and may fifty-fifty go equally far as saying it is the greatest album ever released. Still I won't do that since at the moment I'm torn between this and 'Dark side of the moon' for best album of all time. What makes The Wall so good in my stance is a combination of 2 master factors: Storytelling and great Musicality. The Wall, similar many albums by Pinkish Floyd, is made to be played in order to tell a story and this album is, I call back, the best example of it. The storytelling in this was so skillful that it got information technology's own characteristic length flick oriented around the album. The metaphor for the Wall that Pink builds really gives the music a lot of meaning and you actually come to sympathize what the band wanted to convey when assembling this album. My favourite songs in this anthology are 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Another Brick in the Wall - Part 2' although information technology could too be said that every vocal in this album is as good as each other since they all come together to tell the story. This is Very Highly recommend to pick upward and I think that everyone even remotely interested in music should listen to this album at to the lowest degree once in their lives. If I could give this an eleven I would.
P.S - Is it just me or does 'Is there anybody out there?' sound a bit like James Bond?

Album Score: 10/10
My copy sounds astonishing. I bought it used then I don't know if information technology was washed before. Doesn't seem to take been. Question - my cover does non have "Pink Floyd The Wall" on it equally it shows in the image for this release. My cover is just the bricks. No words anywhere. Just my version is this version based on the runouts. What does your copy wait like? Mayhap the image for the release is incorrect?
I just got the digital 24/96 download for the Wall...that being said this version is supp cut from that file. So why does the vinyl audio and so much amend...nosotros will never know....def a proficient version. PS: I have the Doug Sax version from a few years prior and it sounds much more analog.
